Heute

Kyu-Do – Der Weg des Bogens – ist mehr als nur eine regionale Variante des Bogensports. Der traditionelle japanische Bogen kommt ohne technische Hilfsmittel aus, der Mensch soll sich an ihm entwickeln.

Der komplexe Bewegungsablauf, der erlernt werden muss, um den Bogen zu beherrschen, fordert Körper und Geist gleichermaßen. Die Bereitschaft zu beständigem Lernen und Arbeit an sich selbst und seiner Einstellung ist die Grundvoraussetzung für die Ausübung von Kyudo. Nicht nur der Körper und die Bewegungen müssen trainiert werden, auch die Konzentrationsfähigkeit, die Fokussierung des Geistes auf den Augenblick sind gefordert. Der gelungene Schuss ist das Ergebnis der perfekten Harmonie von Körper, Geist und Schießtechnik/Material. Damit verfolgt Kyudo in unserer schnelllebigen und spezialisierten Zeit einen ganzheitlichen Ansatz. Das erklärt auch, warum Kyudo heute in der ganzen Welt eine wachsende Zahl von Menschen fasziniert.
