On June 2, under bright sunshine and pleasant temperatures, Japan Day on the banks of the Rhine in Düsseldorf once again showcased Japanese culture in all its facets.
On Sunday, February 5, the Neandertal Kyudo Club hosted its traditional New Year’s archery competition at the gymnasium of the Gymnasium am Neandertal in Erkrath.

As it did last year, the first team of the Neandertal Kyudo Club finished in first place in the Kyudo Bundesliga. In 2010, 90 teams from kyudo clubs across Germany competed.
On June 14, 2010, the 3rd Open German Championship for Kyu Grades (“junior grades”) took place in Hamburg. Twenty-seven participants from seven federal states competed.
On May 29, the sun shone down on more than 700,000 visitors who came to experience a taste of Japan at Burgplatz and along the Rhine promenade in Düsseldorf’s Old Town.
