Rheingoldtaikai 2025

Am 29. März veranstaltete der Kyudoverein Neandertal den 11. „Rheingoldtaikai“. 20 Schützen aus sechs Vereinen kamen nach Erkrath, um das beste Team und den besten Einzelschützen zu ermitteln.
Nach der Begrüßung durch die Vorsitzende des Vereins Uta Scholten und einem „Yawatashi“, einem zeremoniellen Vorschießen, das sozusagen die Abnahme des Schießplatzes nachweist, begann der Wettstreit der sieben Mannschaften, die aus jeweils 3 Schützen bestanden. Die Besonderheit dieses Turniers besteht darin, dass auf unterschiedlich große „Matos“ (Zielscheiben) geschossen wird. In drei Durchgängen musste jeder Schütze 12 Pfeile schießen.
Die Mannschaft „Kame“ mit Timeea (Neandertal), Sabrina (Waldniel) und Joachim (Neandertal/Waldniel) konnte sich mit einem Treffer Vorsprung Platz 1 sichern. Vor allem Joachim glänzte durch eine Spitzenleistung, indem er auf das kleinste Ziel mit 24 cm Durchmesser in drei Durchgängen insgesamt acht Treffer für sich verbuchen konnte. Bei der Vergabe der Plätze 2 und 3 wurde es noch einmal spannend: die beiden punktgleichen Teams des SSF Bonn (Oliver, Christian und Heinz-Jürgen) und die Vorjahressieger „Mato Doko“ (Dominic, Thorsten Sven und Uta) mussten ins Stechen. Uta machte mit dem einzigen Treffer in der ersten Runde den zweiten Platz für ihr Team klar.
Nach einer Pause, in der das reichhaltige Buffet mit gespendeten Leckereien geplündert werden konnte, ging es mit dem Einzelwettkampf weiter. 19 Schützen mussten zwei Qualifikationsrunden durchlaufen. Diesmal waren für alle die Zielscheiben gleich groß. Sechs Schützen erreichten mit mindestens 50% Treffern die Endrunde.
Wegen gleicher Ergebnisse musste um die Plätze gestochen werden. Dustin (Hürth) und Christian (Bonn) schossen um den Platz eins. Christian gewann. Der 3. Platz wurde unter 4 Schützen im „Enkin“ ermittelt. Alle Schützen schießen nacheinander auf dieselbe Zielscheibe. Der Pfeil, der dem Zentrum am nächsten ist, gewinnt. Hier bewies Sabrina (Waldniel) die besten Nerven.
Die jeweiligen Gewinner nahmen neben Urkunden und Preisen den „Wanderpokal“ in Form von vergoldeten Rheinkieseln mit und freuen sich auf die Verteidigung im nächsten Jahr.
