Landesmeisterschaft 2008

Bei der Landesmeisterschaft 2008 am 1.März in Schwerte holte der Kyudoverein Neandertal sowohl den Mannschafts- als auch den Einzeltitel nach Erkrath.

Zwölf Teams aus jeweils drei Schützen waren angetreten, um die besten Mannschaften des Landes zu ermitteln.
Nachdem die Mannschaft Neandertal 1 „Mokkei“ sich 2007 mit Platz 2 begnügen musste, sicherten sich Johannes Maringer, Günter Dauner und Reinhard Kollotzek dieses Jahr wieder souverän den Titel. 23 von 36 Pfeilen fanden das Ziel, wobei Johannes Maringer mit 10 von 12 Treffern auch die beste Einzelleistung für sich verbuchen konnte. Das brachte den Sieg vor der Startgemeinschaft des SSF Bonn und der Kyudogruppe Köln (20 Treffer) und der Mannschaft des Gastgebers, Kyudodojo Ruhr e.V., (19 Treffer).

Zum Einzel waren 33 Schützen gemeldet. Nach der Vorrunde, in der jeweils vier Pfeile geschossen wurden, hatten sich sieben Erkrather für die Runde der letzten 16 qualifiziert. In der Endrunde treten jeweils zwei Schützen gegeneinander an, wer hier besser trifft, ist weiter. Während bei der Mannschaftskonkurrenz die Routiniers das Geschehen beherrschten, wurde mit Mario Reinhardt aus Haan ein Newcomer Landesmeister. Bei seiner ersten Meisterschaftsteilnahme zeigte er mit vier von vier möglichen Treffern in der Vorrunde schon höchste Konzentrationsfähigkeit und behielt auch in den folgenden Zweikämpfen die Nerven. Peter Knipper (Kyudojo Ruhr e.V., Schwerte) und Caglar Engin (Kyudojo Nordrhein Köln e.V.) errangen die Plätze 2 und 3. Johannes Maringer aus Erkrath kam auf den vierten Platz.

„Besser kann unser Verein nicht mehr abschneiden.“ freute sich der zweite Vorsitzende und Vereinsgründer Reinhard Kollotzek nach dem Wettkampf. „Hervorragende Einzel- und Mannschaftsleistungen brachten uns den Sieg.“
