Deutsche Meisterschaften in Frankfurt (12./13. April)

Bei der Deutschen Kyudo-Meisterschaft waren in der NRW-Auswahl beim Mannschaftswettbewerb am Samstag zwei Mitglieder des Kyudovereins Neandertal Teil der vierköpfigen Mannschaft: Johannes Maringer als Starter und Reinhard Kollotzek als Reserveschütze. Nach fünf Durchgängen zu je zwölf Pfeilen konnten sich Maringer, Hermann Juli (Kyudogruppe Köln e.V.) und Peter Knipper (Kyudojo Ruhr, Schwerte) mit fünf Treffern Vorsprung deutlich von der Konkurrenz aus den anderen Landesverbänden absetzen. Platz zwei und drei belegten die Mannschaften aus Niedersachsen und Baden-Württemberg.

Bei der Einzelmeisterschaft am Sonntag gingen mit Reinhard Kollotzek, Johannes Maringer und Günther Dauner drei Mitglieder des Erkrather Vereins an den Start. Dabei verpasste Kollotzek nur knapp den Einzug ins Halbfinale. Beim Stechen war sein Pfeil nur 2 mm weiter vom Zentrum der Zielscheibe entfernt als der seines Kontrahenten Boris Proppe aus Berlin.
